| Citizen of the Year | Awarded to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to our community through all their efforts in the past year. They affect and inspire others in the community by their dedication and passion for Cochrane. |
| Community Builder | Awarded to an individual or group in Cochrane who has demonstrated a multi-year commitment to the growth and betterment of the community. This person cares about Cochrane and their fellow residents. They make our community a better place to live. |
| Education Initiative of the Year |
Presented to a school-based initiative in Cochrane that has resulted in enhanced public awareness of an issue or topic, demonstrated youth leadership and/or made a notable contribution to school engagement with the greater community. |

Awarded to an employer who shows a commitment and passion for their staff. This recipient is recognized by their staff for being caring, fair and understanding in their dealings with their personnel, and makes their place of employment a great place to be. |

| Pathfinder of the Year | Awarded to an individual, household, organization or business in Cochrane who has demonstrated leadership and excellence in making Cochrane a more sustainable community. A true innovator, they have helped inspire others to act more sustainably while at the same time demonstrating a genuine commitment to sustainability in their own lives. |
| Senior of the Year | Awarded to a 55+ Cochrane resident who exemplifies the spirit of community service. They demonstrate leadership and creativity in volunteer activities and have accumulated a significant number of volunteer hours in the past three years. |
| Volunteer Group of the Year | Awarded to a not for profit committee, club, society, or association who engages volunteers that has made a significant social impact, strengthening the Cochrane and area community through services, programs, projects and/or events. The recipient of this award exemplifies the spirit of community service thus inspiring others to engage in volunteering. |
| Youth of the Year | Designed to honor a youth, who through their volunteer and leadership contributions, extracurricular activities and community involvement have made the community a better place to live. Candidates for this award must be youth 11 to 24 years of age. |
